The Solution

Bespoke Website Design

A 12 page bespoke website with blog, members area and online store. The website itself was hand coded in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript on the Bootstrap mobile framework, and integrated with Mailchimp CRM and Calendly.

Designing the Wireframes

Working on the supplied design brief, we started to draft out some initial wireframes before creating the initial pages in Adobe Photoshop. To form part of the bespoke designs we created the Spice Map out of a selection of home spices to form the country of Bangladesh, this was very well received by Habiba and the team, and will take center stage in the new School of Spice.

Creating the Luxury Masterclasses

A key area of the bespoke website design were the luxury masterclasses, the custom booking facility, and being able to accept online payments. The Masterclass pages were designed with a tabbed interface showing various class information.

Website Development

Technical Issues Resolved

The previous website was heavily reliant on excess plugins and third-party themes, was running really slow and had been hit by viruses – not a great start!

The first step was to secure, and redirect the original domain name to the new one, and try to save all the emails and prior bookings. As the domain was blacklisted by Google as potentially dangerous, we created a new Google Search Console account to implement the changes.

Building the Website

The decision was made for a completely bespoke website design, and not to build using a third-party theme. We also wanted to limit the number of plug-ins used, as this comes with its own security issues, and we didn’t want a repeat of the previous website.

Using our own basic theme which was hand-coded using the latest web technologies (including Bootstrap 5, HTML, CSS, and Javascript), we started to build the main site map and navigation for the website. The forms were to be powered by Calendly and integrated with Stripe’s digital payment gateway.

Client Testimonial

I am very lucky to have found Revotion and Stuart to work with on my business website.

When it came to rebranding and my new website, Stuart took the time to understand the theme, design style, and the user-friendly website I wanted. He even created a gorgeous map of Bangladesh made from spices which I ended up using on my website! A truly personal touch and a talented web designer!

I can 100% recommend him and feel confident that you will be in great hands. I had lots of ideas and options for my site and Stu helped with his flexibility to make it happen. He went above and beyond helping and creating an amazing website!!!

Thanks Stu, 5 stars all the way!!
